SF Pride is a joyful celebration of love, identity, and community, but it’s also important to remember that Pride began as a protest. Marching, showing up, and speaking out are still acts of resistance at a time when the LGBTQ+ community, especially trans people and queer youth, are facing growing attacks on their rights and dignity.

For AAPI and LGBTQ+ communities, standing together matters. Our solidarity makes us stronger in the fight against hate, discrimination, and efforts to divide us. We don’t march just to celebrate how far we’ve come. We march because visibility matters, protections are still under threat, and our voices will not be pushed back into the shadows.
